EISA opened a field office in Zimbabwe and entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) in September 2011 wherein EISA provides technical support to ZEC in a number of areas including introducing a multi-stakeholder approach to the electoral management in order to contribute to inclusive, peaceful, transparent and credible elections. This is aimed at providing stability to the highly competitive and often violent elections over the past decade.
