Through innovative and trust-based partnerships throughout the African continent and beyond, EISA engages in mutually beneficial capacity reinforcement activities aimed at enhancing all partners’ interventions in the areas of elections, democracy and governance. EISA partners with electoral management bodies, political parties, civil society organisations, local government structures, parliaments, Pan-African organisations, Regional Economic Communities and donors. EISA is also part of major global networks working on election assistance and support.
EISA’s ECCAS liaison office
In June 2010, EISA signed a MoU with the Economic Community of Central African States and in April 2015 a liaison office was opened.

EISA is a member of the United Nations’ Declaration of Principles for International Election Observation Group (DOP Group).
ACE Electoral Knowledge Network
At national level EISA worked with election stakeholders, such as civil society organisations, political parties and Electoral Management Bodies (EMBs) to help them to reinforce their capacity for the delivery of transparent, credible and peaceful elections. To facilitate these efforts Field Offices were opened for various lengths of time in countries as diverse as Angola, Burundi, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
