EISA is partnering with the South African Independent Electoral Commission to re establish Conflict Management Panels for the forthcoming Local Government Elections.

Training objectives include:

  • establishing a platform for panelists and IEC staff to share knowledge, skills and experience on conflict management;
  • familiarisation with electoral legislation and the Electoral Code of Conduct;
  • emphasis of key elements in managing conflicts for elections;
  • strengthening the Commission’s capacity to deliver free and fair elections;
  • encouraging voter participation through the creation of a conducive environment for peaceful elections.
