Country Case Studies on Political Parties and Democratic Governance in SADC
This session focuses discussion on political parties and challenges for the entrenchment of democratic governance in the SADC countries. It addresses specifically, the external socio-economic and political environment within which parties operate; the external regulation that governs parties and internal functioning of the parties. The panel presentations will highlight challenges facing political parties and make specific recommendations for the enhancement of their role in entrenching democratic governance.
