June 2006 Workshop

EISA hosted a workshop entitled Reflexão Sobre o Processo Eleitoral em Moçambique (Reflection on the Mozambican Electoral Process) on 22 June 2006.

The workshop aimed to contribute to a better understanding and promote constructive debate on the Mozambican electoral processes. To guide the discussions, a number of national experts were commissioned to prepare papers reflecting on different aspects of the electoral process as well as make recommendations on how to improve them. The papers were presented in order to kick start the discussion. The workshop also examined some regional experiences in electoral management in order to draw lessons that could be of interest for Mozambique.
