APR Team (continued)
APR teams are usually headed by a delegated member of the APR Panel, and include experts from APRM partner institutions, which include the United Nations Development Program (UNDP); the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the African Development Bank (AfDB). An APR team also include regional and continental experts on one of the four key areas of governance that the APRM reviews.
There are several occasions when a country might be visited by an APR Team:
- Upon its accession to the APRM process(CSM);
- Prior to the country engaging in its self-assessment process(CSM);
- During a country's self-assessment process(CSM);
- Any other time that a country's national focal point or government should request a visit from the APRM structures (CSM); and
- At the completion of a country's self-assessment (CRM).
