Zimbabwe: Parties inactive in 2005

Updated March 2008

Zimbabwe has no law requiring registration by political parties. Thus it is difficult to determine whether a party, which does not compete in elections, actually exists in any formal or functional way. Some of the parties listed below may be defunct.

The political parties listed below participated in the 2000 but not the 2005 House of Assembly elections. None of these parties attained more than 1% of the vote in 2000; the best performance was achieved by the United Parties which received 0.73% of the vote. None won seats in the House of Assembly.

Parties are ordered first by date of founding and then alphabetically.
