Table note: *Preliminary figure for 2009. For this analysis, the gender of MPs was determined by looking at their first names, and in a dozen cases their gender was difficult to ascertain by this method, and therefore needs to be further verified (the dubious names were left out, therefore the numbers below may present a slight under-representation of women).
