Electoral law
Note May 2009: The laws below were amended in 2009 to harmonise parts of the legislation that regulate different elections and which were in contradiction with each other so that provincial elections could take place jointly with presidential and legislative elections. The information on this page will be revised and updated as soon as the amended laws can be obtained.
Law no 7/2007 of 26 February (governs election of the President and the National Assembly) replaces Electoral Law 7/2004.
