Mauritius: 1967 National Assembly election results

The election took place on 7 August 1967.

In 1967 six best loser seats were allocated, four to the IP and four to the PMSD.

According to Lodge et al (2002, 164-165) voting statistics were:
Registered voters: 307 683
Votes cast: 273 557
Turnout: 88.9%
Invalid: 1.78%

Electoral Aliances and parties

The Independence Party was an alliance of Labour Party, Independent Forward Block and the Muslim Action Committee.
