Madagascar: 1992 Constitutional referendum results

The referendum was held on 19 August 1992 (Nunley 2007). The voters were asked to approve a new constitution, that provided for a semi-presidential system and added a second chamber of parliament (the Senate), and had been agreed on by the major political parties in negotiations (Thibaut 1999, 533).
