Madagascar: 1972 Presidential election results

The election was held on 30 January 1972. Incumbent President Philibert Tsiranana of the ruling Social Democratic Party (PSD, Parti social démocrate) was the only candidate nominated and he was endorsed by 99.7% of the electorate (Thibaut 1999, 543).
