Burundi: 2010 Senate election results

The election of the Senate by the 17 provincial colleges of commune councillors took place on 28 July 2010 (CENI 2010, 1). Each college elected two members, one a Hutu and the other a Tutsi; 17 men and 17 women were elected (CENI 2010, 4). The three Twa members that were coopted by the CENI and the four formers heads of state who are ex officio members of the Senate are not reflected in the table below (CENI 2010, 1).
