Women's representation National Assembly 1992

Note: Angola has not held multiparty elections since the first post-independence election of 1992. The results, giving victory to the MPLA, were rejected by UNITA and civil war resumed. Presidential and Parliamentary elections scheduled for September 2006 were postponed to 2007 and then to 2008 for the National Assembly and 2009 for the Presidency.

2008 National Assembly election

Voter registration began 15 Nov 2006 and was scheduled to end on 15 Jun 2007, but was extended by 90 days and ended on 15 Sep 2007.
