PEMMO launch in Zanzibar

The Swahili version of the Principles for Election Management, Monitoring and Observation (PEMMO) was launched at the Serena Inn Hotel in Zanzibar on August 12, 2005. The launch was attended by members of the Zanzibar Electoral Commission, leaders of political parties, non-governmental organisations and media representatives.

The keynote address was given by the Chairperson of the Zanzibar Electoral Commission, Masauni Yusuf Masauni. Mr Denis Kadima, EISA Executive Director provided an introduction to the PEMMO.
