EISA's Regional Election Observer Mission for the DRC Parliamentary and Presidential Elections that were held on 30 July 2006 was lead by Advocate Yusuf Aboobaker, Chairperson of the Electoral Supervisory Commission in Mauritius. The mission included 25 members drawn from civil society organisations, election management bodies and academic institutions from various countries, namely Angola, Mozambique, Côte d'Ivoire, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Madagascar, South Africa and Mauritius.

Referendum 2005

Led by Advocate Yusuf Aboobaker, Chairperson of the Electoral Supervisory Commission of Mauritius, the EISA Observer Mission to the DRC Referendum consisted of 17 members and included representatives from electoral commissions and civil society organisations from Angola, Côte d'Ivoire, Mauritius, Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
